Spectroscopy of neutron-deficient nuclei around 36Ca |
A. Burger et al. (E. Clément, A. Gorgen, W.Korten, Ch. Theisen) |
An experiment was performed to extend the knowledge of excited states in neutron-deficient Ca isotopes. %%, and to search for the position of the proton drip-line at $Z=20$. %% In particular, excited states in \\up{36}Ca were searched for to %%% obtain information on the isospin-dependence of the %%% nucleon-nucleon-interaction near the drip-line from allow for a comparison with its stable mirror nucleus, \\up{36}S. %% Secondary beams of \\up{37}Ca and \\up{36}Ca were produced by fragmentation of a primary \\up{40}Ca beam with an energy of $95\\cdot A$\\,MeV on the SISSI target at GANIL. %% A variety of nuclei around \\up{36}Ca has been produced in a secondary Be target by neutron and proton-removal at beam energies around $61\\cdot A$\\,MeV. %% The produced nuclei were identified using the spectrometer {\\em SPEG}, and prompt $\\gamma$ rays were measured with the {\\em Ch\\^ateau de Cristal}. %% A preliminary value for the energy of the first $2^+$ state of \\up{36}Ca has been determined. |
